Hyundai unveiled its new "Crater" concept vehicle at the 2025 Los Angeles Auto Show, embodying the company's future vision for off-road vehicles within the XRT lineup. This concept is designed as a compact, monocoque SUV, combining aggressive styling with high capabilities for challenging terrains.

"Art of Steel" Design: The design language follows Hyundai's "Art of Steel" philosophy, featuring sharp lines, extensive underbody skid plates, and robust fenders.
High Off-Road Capabilities: The concept boasts steep approach and departure angles, and massive 33-inch tires on 18-inch wheels, providing excellent ground clearance.
Practical Features: Exterior features include limb risers (cables) stretching from the hood to the roof for branch protection, integrated tow hooks that double as bottle openers, and removable side-mirror cameras that function as flashlights.
Futuristic and Durable Interior: The cabin features a function-first design with an integrated roll cage, wraparound seats with four-point harnesses, and a terrain mode selector for Snow, Sand, Mud, Auto, and XRT settings.
BYOD Tech: Hyundai uses a "Bring Your Own Device" (BYOD) approach for screens, complemented by a full-width head-up display (HUD) that projects essential information.
